Wicked Eats being replaced by Olilo

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Tiger Dining has made a new change to one of the Auburn University Student Center's largest dining venues. Wicked Eats by Cat Cora is being replaced with Olilo by Cat Cora.  According to a Christian Wallace with Auburn dining contract Aramark, the new change was due to .... The new Olilo concept will feature .... The change goes into effect immediately.

Eagle Eye TV, UPC partnering to host Auburn Feud gameshow

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Eagle Eye TV is partnering with the Auburn University Program Council to host our award-winning game show Auburn Feud as part of the new Spring Welcome Week. The game show works like traditional Family Feud, with Auburn student organizations competing against each other. The event will be held in the Auburn Student Center Ballroom starting at 5pm on January 10. Additional information can be found on AU Involve.

Auburn Offense Shines In Music City Bowl Rout

Nashville TN (EETV)- The final game of the 2018 season pitted the Auburn Tigers against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Music City Bowl. Auburn's defense would be tested as the Boilermakers brought in the 24th best offense in the country led by quarterback David Blough. In the first quarter, Auburn started fast on the first drive of the game as Jarret Stidham found Jatarvious Whitlow for a 66 yard touchdown pass on the third play from scrimmage. After a three and out from Purdue, Auburn took a 14-0 lead on an 87 yard drive capped off by a 2 yard run from Whitlow. On Purdue's next drive, Auburn's Javarius Davis intercepted an errant throw from Blough and returned it to the Purdue 18 yard line. Jatarvius Whitlow would score his third touchdown of the game as he took it in from one yard out to give Auburn a 21-0 lead. The Boilermakers got things going offensively as Rondale Moore capped off a 78 yard drive with a 7 yard rushing touchdown to cut Auburn's lead to 14. Auburn would regain the 21 point lead as Jarret Stidham found Darius Slayton for a 74 yard score. The score was Auburn's fourth straight touchdown on offense and the longest of the 2018 season. In the second quarter, the defense held Purdue on fourth down. Auburn's offense needed one play to score their fifth straight touchdown as Stidham found Darius Slayton for his second touchdown reception of the game. The defense got in on the scoring as Big Cat Bryant intercepted a deflected pass and returned it for 20 yards to give Auburn an astounding 42-7 lead. Auburn's offensive attack did not stop as they tacked on two more touchdown's to give them a 56-7 lead at halftime. The Tigers set a school record for most points in the first half since they scored 49 against Chattanooga in 1995. Auburn opened the second half with their ninth touchdown of the game as Ryan Davis took a jet sweep for five yards to give Auburn a 63-7 lead.

2017-2018 scores released for area schools

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Local city school districts received their scores on the recently released 2017-2018 Alabama State Department of Education scorecard. According to the report, the Auburn City School System received an overall score of 91, with each individual school except for the East Samford School receiving an A score. Opelika City Schools received an overall score of 84.

Auburn University named an 'R1' research university

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University is now classified as an 'R1' research university according to the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. The announcement follows a concerted effort by Auburn to elevate its commitment to life-saving research, beginning with an announcement by Auburn President Steven Leath in December 2017 and subsequent awarding of $5 million for three years toward the Presidential Awards for Interdisciplinary Research, or PAIR.

Auburn man arrested on multiple drug charges

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police Denver Alexander Atwood Friday, charging him with four counts of possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana first degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say the arrests are a result of a three month investigation by the Auburn Narcotics Division that culminated in a search warrant on Dec.

Auburn Holds off Murray State 93-88

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- After losing on the road at NC State, the Auburn Tigers looked to rebound against the Murray State Racers. In the first half Auburn started out on an 8-0 run to start the game as Austin Wiley dropped 10 points. Bryce Brown seemed to be back in form as he scored 8 points including his first three point basket in two games. Murray State hung around, taking a five point lead with nine minutes to go. Auburn would take the lead into half 38-35 with help from Chuma Okeke as he scored the last five points of the half. Murray State started the first half fast, knocking down three straight three-point shots to take a six point lead. The lead wouldn't last for long as Auburn took a 14 point lead with 8 minutes remaining. Murray State did not go away as they cut the lead to just three in the last 40 seconds. Auburn was able to hold on for the win as Jared Harper knocked down two clutch free throws. The play of Murray State's guard Ja Morant should not go unnoticed as he dropped 25 points in the game. Shaq Buchanan also scored 21 points for the Racers, going 8-14 from three. Auburn's Samir Doughty had a career high 20 points to lead the Tigers and Austin Wiley and Chuma Okeke both added 17 points. Auburn's record improves to 10-2 and they will return to Auburn Arena next Saturday against the North Florida Ospreys.

Auburn Survives UAB in Overtime 75-71

Birmingham, Alabama (EETV)- Auburn and UAB faced off in the Mike Slive Invitational in Legacy Arena. Birmingham, Alabama (EETV)- Auburn and UAB faced off in the Mike Slive Invitational in Legacy Arena. With the series tied at 10-10, Auburn looked to take the advantage. In the first quarter, Auburn started very slow shooting 34 percent from the field. UAB came out strong knocking down 40 percent of their shots to take a seven point lead. Auburn made a push at the end of the half as they outscored the Blazers 8-0 to take a 28-27 lead at halftime. The second quarter was a back-and-forth affair as neither team could hold a lead. Auburn held a six point lead with 1:15 left but the Blazers hit two clutch three's two send the game to overtime. In overtime Jared Harper took over as he hit some crucial free throws to help the Tigers hold on 75-71. Harper went to the free throw line a total of 16 times and shot 80 percent. Harper led the way with 31 points while Chuma Okeke dropped 11 points. Auburn was unusually cold from three, only shooting 18 percent. UAB was led by Jalen Perry, who scored 18 points and Lewis Sullivan with 11. Auburn's record goes to 9-1 and they will go on the road next Wednesday night at North Carolina State.

Man convicted of killing Auburn freshman to appear in court Monday

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The man convicted of killing an Auburn University freshman back in 2008 will be appearing in a Lee County court Monday. According to Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones, Courtney Lockhardt will be in court Monday morning in regards to post conviction issues his attorneys will be presenting. Lockhardt was convicted of the 2008 murder of Auburn University freshman Lauren Burk.

Auburn Defeats Dayton 82-72

The Auburn Tigers faced off against the Dayton Flyers Saturday night in Auburn Arena. The Tigers looked to defeat Dayton for the second year in row. The Tigers showed out big in the first half with their high shooting percentage. Auburn shot 61 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free-throw line, while Dayton shot 48 percent from the floor and only 50 percent from the free-throw line. Guards Jared Harper and Bryce Brown came out hot from the three-point line, Harper shooting 2-3 and Brown 4-5. Harper ended the half with 14 points and Brown with an impressive 22 points.  Not only were the Tigers dominant on the offensive end in the first half, but their defense made a statement with a total of five blocks, three of which came from Austin Wiley. Auburn would enter halftime with a comfortable 51-32 lead. Bryce Brown and Jared Harper continued to be the leading scorers for Auburn as they would finish with a combined 54 points. Brown scored a career high 34 points and Harper finished with 20 points. The Tigers would remain on top as they win the hard-fought game, 82-72.  Auburn improves their record to 8-1 and Dayton falls to 5-4. The Tigers will be in Birmingham Saturday the 15th in Legacy Arena as they take on UAB.

Two shot Friday night in Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police responded to a shooting along Holmes Avenue Friday night. According to police spokesperson Lorenza Dorsey, two adult males suffered non life threatening injuries and were transported to a Columbus hospital. Police say it appears the incident was brought about by an altercation.

Sidewalk under West and Wright building reopened after loose bricks discovered

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The City of Auburn has reopened the sidewalk in front of the West and Wright, formerly known as the Evolve, apartment complex.  The sidewalk was closed briefly as construction workers installed pedestrian protection covers over the sidewalk. Sidewalk protection was installed after the city was made aware of issues with loose bricks on the exterior of the building's West Glenn Avenue side. The West and Wright building has been at the center of the contentious debate regarding building high ordinances in the downtown area.

Auburn hosts annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University hosted its annual holiday lighting ceremony Sunday evening. Students and community members gathered on the front lawn of Samford Hall to listen to performances by various community groups. The even was hosted by Auburn University's Student Government Association.

Theft reported on Auburn's campus Wednesday

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police are investigating after a theft was reported on Auburn University's campus Wednesday. The theft was said to have occurred in the 300 block of the West Thatch Concourse.  According to the police incident report, two lamps, a computer monitor, an office table and an office chair were stolen.
