Eagle Eye TV

Eagle Eye TV is the award-winning television station created and run entirely by students at Auburn University. The production and reporter staffs consist of university students who produce content for our YouTube channel and website. Any student may apply to be a part of Eagle Eye TV with reporter, anchor, producer, engineer, and marketign positions all available.

Eagle Eye TV is located on the first floor of the Auburn University Melton Student Center, suite 1105. Eagle Eye TV has a variety of content in news, sports, and entertainment.

Eagle Eye TV is an editorially independent television station and a designated public forum. Student producers determine the editorial content, coverage and policies without interference, censorship or advanced approval from faculty, staff or University administration.

Mission Statement

Eagle Eye TV operates as a primary news source for the people of Auburn University, providing accessible and accurate coverage of campus and community interests while serving as an experiential learning lab.

Eagle Eye TV promotes the highest standards of journalism while endeavoring to be an award-winning student television station. This is accomplished through the work of students dedicated to instilling the values of sound business practice, excellence in monetary stewardship and ethics in journalism while providing academic advising and oversight to its members.

Vision Statement

To be a preeminent news source for the Auburn University campus and community while helping students achieve careers in the media industry.

Objectives

Eagle Eye TV is dedicated to:

  • Fostering the development of students’ skills in all aspects of journalism, business and leadership by providing the resources needed by students to publish digital content
  • Enhancing the educational mission of Auburn University by providing training and learning opportunities for students in journalism, business and media production
  • Upholding the highest standards of journalism by teaching and promoting professional standards, ethics and First Amendment rights and responsibilities
  • Serving the Auburn University community by providing student-run media that serves as a designated public forum for free expression, an exchange of ideas and a respected means of disseminating news and information, thus fulfilling a role essential to the health of a vibrant university in a democratic society.

Student Involvement programs are open to all students and do not discriminate against individuals on the basis of sex, (sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression), race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, genetic information or protected veteran status (collectively, “Protected Status”).
