Auburn Football Depth Chart to be Set Tuesday

The depth chart for the Auburn Tigers will be set by Tuesday, Coach Gus Malzahn announced Wednesday. The Tigers are having a ‘dress rehearsal’ type practice on Friday to simulate game-like situations and to finalize the depth chart. “More of the logistics from the sideline with the whole team and all the communication and all the ‘what ifs’,” said Malzahn.

Quarterback John Franklin III announces transfer from AU

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - On the heels of Gus Malzahn announcing that Jarrett Stidham will be the starter for Auburn in Week 1, John Franklin III has announced that he is transferring from Auburn. Franklin, a quarterback turned wide receiver, will be a graduate transfer at Florida Atlantic University, playing for Lane Kiffin. “I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be a player for this great university,” Franklin wrote on Instagram.

London (EETV)- After an incredible performance against Johanna Konta, Venus Williams came into the Wimbledon finals more confident than ever. The 37-year-old American battled with Spaniard Garbine Muguruza. Muguruza takes Wimbledon title lost to Venus’s sister Serena just two years ago in the Wimbledon finals and was determined not to lose again. After a tough battle Muguruza was down 4-5 and fought back to win the first set 7-5. The second set would be a completely different story as Muguruza shut out Williams by a score of 6-0. The match was ended by a long shot by Williams that was ruled in.

Tigers traveling to Hoover

Hoover, Ala (EETV)- Auburn has selected their players to represent their team at SEC Media Days. A handful of SEC teams like Kentucky and Arkansas are taking their quarterbacks, but the majority of teams will not, including Auburn. Offensive lineman Braden Smith, kicker Daniel Carlson, defensive back Tray Matthews and Head Coach Gus Malzahn are scheduled to go to Hoover, Alabama to speak to the media.
