25 Football Gameday Enhancements Announced

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - You’re game day experience just got better. On Tuesday, Auburn Athletics announced 25 Game Day Enhancements that are coming Jordan-Hare Stadium.

These enhancements include RV parking, additional concession carts, Tiger Transit routes, and ‘themed’ games.

Some of the enhancements coming outside the stadium include: the Facilities and Community Garden RV parking area opening on Thursdays at 2 p.m., Tiger Transit shuttles that will transport to downtown Auburn before games and from downtown to War Eagle Way after the game, a new outdoor club located in the Plainsman Park parking lot, and the RV lot opening on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. during Iron Bowl week.

Athletics have also added several interactive enhancements outside the stadium, which include: a Tiger Walk Street Team that will have prize giveaways in pregame tailgate areas, a sign making station for Tiger Walk, medical bag locations at Gate 5 and Gate 18, and a photo station featuring a mannequin and corporate partners.

When you walk into Jordan-Hare, you will see quite a few more enhancements to the stadium, including: the North End Zone concourse expanded by 60% with additional concessions cars, grills and tents, the North End Zone will have Philly Connection, Taste of New Orleans, Jim ‘N Nicks, Nuts About Auburn, and Bodacious Burgers as concessions, the addition of 45 new flat screen TVs in the upper concourse, 12 oz. cups have been added to the free hydration stations, and four new concessions stands built on the main concourse level.

The game day experience for Tiger fans will be much different this year once pregame activities in the stadium begin and while the game is being played. Some of these enhancements include: a digital first down line during live game action on the video board, a “celebrity letter” tradition (as seen at basketball games) will be done at the end of the 3rd quarter, the Auburn mobile app will integrate to in-stadium contests, and the addition of a DJ to the student section.

Athletics have also announced there are three themed games as well as postgame field access. Here are some of the key dates for these events:

  • All Orange game vs. Georgia Southern (9/2)
  • Fans on field post game vs. Mercer (9/16)
  • Stripe the Stadium game vs. Mississippi State (9/30)
  • Military Appreciation Day vs. Ole Miss (10/7)
  • True Blue game vs. Georgia (11/11)

This year Auburn will celebrate several anniversaries at the games. Here are some of the anniversaries this year:

  • 60th Anniversary of the 1957 National Championship team
  • 45th Anniversary of the Amazins’
  • 50th Anniversary of the 1967 Football Team
  • 30th Anniversary of the 1987 Football Team
  • 10th Anniversary of the 2007 Football Team
  • 125 Years of Women at the University Celebration vs. Mercer (9/16)

Athletics has also partnered with the Auburn Downtown Merchants Association for Come Home to the Corner. This event will be on Fridays before the following games:

  • Georgia Southern (9/2)
  • Mississippi State (9/30)
  • Ole Miss (10/7)
  • Georgia (11/11)
  • Alabama (11/25)

Finally, athletics have made it possible to make every day feel like game day. Some of the things that you can enjoy throughout the season include: Auburn Football game day programs will have a pullout poster for each game, the Auburn Athletics Passport for Kids Club members (under 12) will award prizes to kids who complete their passport during the year, and facilities tours will be expanded on Fridays to additional venues such as the Baseball Locker Room.
