Auburn's women's golf team heads to SEC tournament on April 12-16

AUBURN,Ala. (EETV)- The Auburn women’s golf team will go full swing into the SEC
tournament on April 12-16.
A successful Auburn women’s golf team and head coach Melissa Luellen head to The Pelican
Golf Club in Belleair, Florida on a mission to become SEC champions. They are 27-8 in SEC play and 108-30-2 overall, notably going 5-0 against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Fifth-year Megan Schofill leads the Tigers with a season-scoring average of 71.46. This isn’t her
first appearance in an SEC tournament as she brought home last year’s title in the Mason
Rudolph Championship.
Likewise, redshirt sophomore Casey Weidenfeld makes her mark on the course with a 71.96
season-scoring average.
The 2024 SEC women’s golf tournament will take place in a new venue for the first time in 11
years.
Luellen is entering her ninth season as Auburn women’s golf coach after her 13-year legacy at
Arizona State.
While at Auburn, she has led the Tigers to three consecutive appearances in the NCAA
Championship from 2019-2022, including a top-four finish in 2019 and 2022
