The Nun has entered the room and is ready to excite the incoming freshmen for what will hopefully be the best four years of their lives. Although only a short segment of the Camp War Eagle experience, “Fun with the Nun” gives new students a chance to meet the long-Qme campus celebrity.

According to a press release from the Alabama State Department of Education, Dr. Brittney Duncan from Wrights Mill Elementary School and Dr. Blake Busbin from Auburn High School made the list of 16 finalists. The release says those teachers who made the list, “exemplify teaching at its best.” Auburn City Schools reacted to the news on their Facebook page posting, “CONGRATS: Auburn City Schools is proud to announce that we have not one, but two teachers reach this year's "Sweet 16" in the Alabama Teacher of the Year program!” The 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year will be announced May 9 at a ceremony in Montgomery.
