Students gathered on the green space for free burgers, root beer floats, t-shirts, music, and performances by on-campus organizations, the Auburn Pep Band and the Auburn Cheerleaders. Leath will be officially installed at the 19th university president Thursday in the Auburn Arena.
AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Officials with the City of Auburn and Auburn University Facilities Management Division have said that a new campus parking deck could be in the works. The proposed deck, which would most likely be located on the property of the Hotel at Auburn University, would provide additional parking to the main portion of campus.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- An officer with the Auburn Police Division arrested William Chandler Gilreath early Saturday for allegedly trespassing in Auburn University's Jordan Hare Stadium. According to police spokesperson Lorenza Doresy, an officer with the APD witnessed Gilreath trespassing on the stadium playing field at 3:30 a.m.

The SAA Board of Directors' focus is on forming connections with alumni and helping students transition into being successful, engaged alumni. The Board is composed of six committees that focus around planning events, networking with alumni, raising scholarship funds and building a larger sense of Auburn University in preparation for graduation. Some duties include helping support the SAA with events such as the Auburn Hospitality Tailgate for home football games, Golden Eagles, Lifetime Achievement Awards and more. These events help students have the opportunities to interact with alumni.

Auburn, Ala (EETV)- Auburn softball clinched a series victory over Kentucky in 12 innings on Saturday. Auburn was led defensively by Kaylee Carlson who pitched 12 scoreless innings with five strikeouts and only five hits allowed.
Auburn women's tennis fell to Florida 4-1 on Saturday 4-1. The Gators were led by Anna Danilina who won both singles and doubles matches. Auburn's Taylor Russo gave Auburn their only point of the match as she won convincingly 6-3 6-3. The Gators would go on to clinch the match with wins McCartney Kessler and Katie Kubicz. Auburn will return to the court as they travel to Knoxville to face Tennessee on Thursday.

OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- An individual died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds at a an Opelika lounge early Saturday morning. Officers responded to BJ Lounge on Stanley Avenue at 1:00 a.m.
OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- Officers with the Opelika Police Department responded to a gunshot victim early Saturday morning. The victim, who was allegedly shot in the 500 block of Fruitwood Circle, was transported to Midtown Medical Center in Columbus. The incident is still under investigation and anyone with details is encouraged to contact the Opelika Police Department by calling 334-705-5220.
