Meet the Candidates: Jordan Langdon

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University sophomore Jordan Langdon has thrown his hat into the Auburn mayoral election, joining five other candidates.

“I’ve always had an interest in government from a young age," stated Langdon in a press release sent out by his campaign "I have had a desire to serve the community that I love so dearly, but I never knew exactly how. Now, God has given me a potential opportunity to take Auburn to the next level and I will not let him nor the citizens down.”

According to Langdon's official campaign website, he would like to focus on growing the area's job base and ensuring citizens come first.

Langdon grows a large field of mayoral candidates who include Ward 2 Councilman Ron Anders along with community residents Brittany Cannon Dement and Richard Speake; longtime current Auburn Mayor Bill Ham has decided not to seek reelection.

The Auburn municipal election is scheduled for August 28.
