Auburn, Ala (EETV) - Auburn University welcomed students, faculty, families, and members of the community to attend the annual Miss Auburn University Pageant Friday, Oct. 2.
Doors opened at 5:00 p.m., and the competition began at 6 p.m., with all contestants presenting an opening number. The evening that followed showcased each contestant's individual talents, personality, accomplishments, and commitment to service. These rounds included talent, interviews, health and fitness, evening gown, and on-stage conversation.
Contestants also created and presented their own unique community service proposals. Each initiative addressed a local need or cause meaningful to the contestant while bringing community members together and encouraging continued involvement.
Emma Bishop was crowned Miss Auburn 2027 based on her scores across the competition rounds.
Bishop is a junior majoring in Accounting with a specific interest in forensic accounting. Beyond the Miss Auburn Pageant, she is highly involved in several campus organizations and programs. She serves as a Project Coordinator with Auburn IMPACT, is a candidate for Beta Alpha Psi, Auburn’s accounting honor society, and is a member of Phi Mu's Honor Committee.
Bishop’s service initiative, Harvesting Hope: From Field to Family, addresses food insecurity by encouraging everyone in the community to help combat hunger.
