Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - As of Monday morning, Auburn Associate Head Coach Chuck Person was listed as a defendant in a federal bribery case. Person was a 2 time All-American for Auburn (1985, 1986) and helped lead the Tigers to the elite eight in the 1986 NCAA Tournament. Person is second on the Auburn all-time leading scorer list with 2,311 points and is fourth on the SEC all-time leading scorer list. Auburn basketball retired his jersey number (45) in 2006. He was the No. 4 overall pick in the 1986 draft by the Indiana Pacers and bounced around the NBA, finishing his career with the Seattle Sonics in 2000. After a hiatus from Auburn, Person returned to his alma mater in 2014 to be the associate head coach under current coach Bruce Pearl. Person helped coach Auburn to an 18-14 record last season, Auburn's first winning season since 2008-2009.

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) – Auburn opened their fall season traveling to Coral Gables, Fl. for the Miami Fall Invite. The Tigers had nine combined victories in singles and doubles against players from Florida Gulf Coast University, Miami, and Pittsburgh. Freshman Jaeda Daniel went 2-0 in singles play including a 6-3, 6-1 win over Miami’s 2017 NCAA Tournament semifinalist. In doubles play, senior Alizee Michaud and Daniel had a 6-1 victory against FGCU while senior Mary Katherine Lewis and Daniel took down Pittsburgh 6-0. Another notable performance for Auburn was a doubles win by junior Alannah Griffin and freshman Madeline Meredith who defeated FGCU 6-4.
