MISSING: Auburn Police Searching for missing Teens

The Auburn Police Division is attempting to determine the whereabouts of two teens, Carolina McKenzie Harrelson, age 16 and her brother, Charles Rhett Harrelson Jr., age 14.  Their last known location was at their residence in the 700 block of Hunter Court, in Auburn on August 6th, 2017.  An investigation has revealed that they possibly left the residence in anticipation of a custody hearing.

New teaching garden to strengthen Agricultures on-campus presence

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - The College of Agriculture has launched a project to establish a highly productive, on-campus teaching garden that will give greater visibility to active agricultural fieldwork at Auburn and enhance the legacy of the historic Old Rotation. Faculty from three of the college’s academic departments—horticulture; crop, soil and environmental sciences; and entomology and plant pathology—are finalizing the master design for the 11.3-acre garden, which will be adjacent to the Old Rotation on Lem Morrison Drive. The garden also will extend to the edge of Auburn’s Donald E.

Construction underway on new performing arts center

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Construction on the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center has begun.  The project will construct an 85,000 square foot building which will provide high quality, performance venues in support of musical, theatrical, dance, guest speakers and other events. Program requirements include a multipurpose venue seating approximately 1,200 guests, box office, catering kitchen, wardrobe and dressing rooms, and conference and support office spaces.

Quarterback John Franklin III announces transfer from AU

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - On the heels of Gus Malzahn announcing that Jarrett Stidham will be the starter for Auburn in Week 1, John Franklin III has announced that he is transferring from Auburn. Franklin, a quarterback turned wide receiver, will be a graduate transfer at Florida Atlantic University, playing for Lane Kiffin. “I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be a player for this great university,” Franklin wrote on Instagram.

TRAFFIC: Move in causing extreme backups on West Glenn Ave.

The new Complex is welcoming its first residents with construction finishing in just the last couple of weeks.  The area on West Glenn Avenue headed eastbound is at a stand still for nearly a mile Please avoid the area if possible. NASA releases safety warning ahead of Eclipse 2017

(NASA) - Looking directly at the sun is unsafe except during the brief total phase of a solar eclipse (“totality”), when the moon entirely blocks the sun’s bright face, which will happen only within the narrow path of totality (https://go.nasa.gov/2pC0lhe (link is external)). The only safe way to look directly at the uneclipsed or partially eclipsed sun is through special-purpose solar filters, such as “eclipse glasses” (example shown at left) or hand-held solar viewers.

Abandoned pony survives brutal attack, nursed back to health at AU

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) – Pogo is a tiny pony—a “miniature” horse to be exact—with a very big will to live and apparently, a large destiny to fulfill. He was found by a Birmingham-based equine rescue organization this past June and brought to the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for treatment following traumatic amputation of the left hind limb.

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn University Panhellenic has received its first National Panhellenic Conference, or NPC, College Panhellenic Excellence Award, the highest award that a college Panhellenic can win from the conference. Auburn political science professor creating an 'Alabama Justice' exhibit

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)– A traveling exhibit, “Alabama Justice: The Cases and Faces that Changed a Nation,” will tour the state in 2019, Alabama’s bicentennial year, thanks to funding from the Alabama Humanities Foundation, Auburn University Intramural Grants Program and a College of Liberal Arts Summer Research Grant. Steven Brown, professor in the Department of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University, is conducting extensive research to write about three United States Supreme Court justices appointed from Alabama, and eight landmark cases that arose from this state.
