Roy Moore wins Alabama's Senate Primary

Montgomery, Ala. (EETV) - Roy Moore has won tonights United States Senate primary runoff. Moore took to Twitter following his win to thank supporters. While the general election will not be held until December, large amounts of money from outside of Alabama have poured into the state for this race.  Moore faced off against Luther Strange who was appointed to the seat by former Alabama Governor Robert Bently. President Donald Trump has been actively campaigning for Luther Strange including making a visit to Alabama. Roy Moore is no stranger to politics, he has been removed from his seat on Alabama's Supreme Court twice. Moore has been suspended from the state Supreme Court after he refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Auburn volleyball sweeps Georgia, 3-0

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn volleyball swept Georgia on the road this weekend, 3-0. The Tigers are now undefeated in SEC play and have a 9-2 record overall this season, which is the best start since 2013. Jesse Earl recorded 18 digs against Georgia and had an ace in the match.

What's Next: Auburn Basketball's Chuck Person

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - As of Monday morning, Auburn Associate Head Coach Chuck Person was listed as a  defendant in a federal bribery case. Person was a 2 time All-American for Auburn (1985, 1986) and helped lead the Tigers to the elite eight in the 1986 NCAA Tournament.  Person is second on the Auburn all-time leading scorer list with 2,311 points and is fourth on the SEC all-time leading scorer list. Auburn basketball retired his jersey number (45) in 2006. He was the No. 4 overall pick in the 1986 draft by the Indiana Pacers and bounced around the NBA, finishing his career with the Seattle Sonics in 2000. After a hiatus from Auburn, Person returned to his alma mater in 2014 to be the associate head coach under current coach Bruce Pearl.  Person helped coach Auburn to an 18-14 record last season, Auburn's first winning season since 2008-2009.
