It was a room filled with differing viewpoints Monday Night on the passing of the bill for the Recognition of the Auburn Gay and Lesbian Association (AGLA). Senator of Graduate School, Max Zimmer, presented this bill to the Senate yesterday.
Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Kerryon Johnson and several of his teammates have been named to the AP All-SEC team. Braden Smith, Carlton Davis, Jeff Holland, Daniel Carlson and Johnson were selected to the first team All-SEC. Jarrett Stidham and Tre Williams round of the All-SEC selections for the Tigers, being named to the second team. On top of these selections, Stidham was named AP SEC Newcomer of the Year while Johnson was named AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Stidham, a Baylor transfer quarterback, helped lead the Tigers to the SEC West title and a 10-3 record. He finished the season with a 66.7 completion percentage, going 218-327 on pass attempts with 4 interceptions.

AUBURN, Ala (EETV)- A liberal super pac supporting Democratic United States Senate candidate Doug Jones is using false and misleading information in one of their ads. According to Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill’s office, reports indicate a targeted effort aimed at misinforming or confusing voters in Alabama. The controversial ad, released by a group called Highway 31, tries to say that a voter’s vote would become public record, but according to the Secretary of State’s office only whether a voter participated in an election becomes public record, not their individual ballot.
ATHENS, Ga. (EETV) - Swimming and diving competed in the Georgia Invitational this weekend and freshman Hugo Gonzalez came through swimmingly. Gonzalez knocked off the 200 IM mark on Friday, and the 400 IM mark on Saturday.
