Three arrested in Auburn on burglary charges

AUBURN, Ala. - On Saturday, September 9, 2017, Auburn Police arrested Tyler Isreal Avery, age 18 from Salem, Marquez Deonte Thomas, age 21 from Opelika and Kendavious Lamarcus Williams, age 20 from Auburn on warrants charging them with Burglary 1st Degree and Theft of Property 2nd Degree. At about 11:00 p.m.

Tiger Transit to run Tuesday morning

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Tiger Transit will begin running tomorrow morning, according to a tweet from Auburn University. The busses will operate on the normal, full-service schedule beginning at 11 a.m.  The university will reopen at 7:45 a.m.

Listed are twenty items that you should have packed in case of emergency: *Items are listed in no particular order. Non-perishable food and snacks Bottled water Plastic utensils, disposable plates and cups Flashlight Blanket Extra full set of clothes Coat (preferably wind/rain resistant) Whistle Duct tape Standard First Aid Kit Garbage bags Moist towelettes Non-prescription medications such as pain relievers Half-full tank of gas in vehicle Extra sturdy pair of shoes Waterproof, portable containers Extra pack(s) of batteries Personal hygiene items Cell phone/handheld radio Phone charger/laptop charger (Portable/wireless charger battery pack if available) Students should know their nearest severe weather shelter location and keep up to date of weather alerts and verify that they are subscribed to receive severe weather notifications from AU ALERT.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn University has released shelter information for students and employees ahead of Hurricane Irma.  Ralph Brown Draughon Library will remain open for normal hours and is a designated shelter on campus.

Classes to resume Tuesday

(EETV) - Auburn University has decided to resume classes for Tuesday in the wake of Hurricane Irma's expected arrival on The Plains.  Classes will begin at noon on Tuesday with the campus opening for employees beginning at 7:45. Governor Ivey activates National Guard for State Active Duty

MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey has authorized the activation of the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) in Clanton to level one and the activation of the Alabama National Guard (ALNG) for state active duty, due to the potential impact of Hurricane Irma and the state’s role in supporting additional neighboring state evacuees.
