The Auburn Tigers Swimming and Diving Team wrapped up their conference championship meet on Sunday finishing strong with totals from the weekend including 16 top three finishes over the five day meet, adding two individual titles and four women's relay podiums.
AUBURN, Ala (EETV)- No. 13 Auburn welcomed the Michigan State Spartans to the Yarborough Tennis Center Saturday. Auburn started strong earning the doubles point with wins from Maddie Meredith and Jaeda Daniel who won 6-2. The other win came from Caroline Turner and Georgie Axon who won their match 7-6 (7-3) in a tiebreak. In the singles competition, Auburn would clinch the match with wins from Alizee Machaud, Maddie Meredith, and Georgie Axon. The Tigers improved to 8-3 on the year and will play again on Feb.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The Auburn Board of Trustees has voted to add to the number of intramural fields at Auburn. At its meeting on Friday, the Trustees approved the purchase of two parcels of land totaling 177 acres adjacent to campus on West Longleaf Drive in order to provide expanded field labs for the College of Agriculture and College of Veterinary Medicine.

No. 8 Auburn was ranked No. 5 overall by the committee and was given a No. 2 seed in the Midwest region. The projected No.1 are: Virginia (1), Villanova (2), Xavier (3) and Purdue (4). Virginia was awarded the overall top seed in the tournament. Joining Auburn as No. 2 seeds are Kansas (6), Duke (7) and Cincinnati (8). The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has 4 teams in the top-16, the most by any conference.

Auburn Ala. (EETV) - Junior pitcher Casey Mize was awarded his fifth pre-season All-American award by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association as he became a member of the Preseason Second Team. In December Mize was named a Preseason Second Team All-American by Collegiate baseball.
