Cupola Callouts held Monday night

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The College of Engineering’s Cupola Ambassadors held their annual Cupola Callout on Monday night. The event is held every year and features the unique Callouts tradition where new members hear their names called out as they are inducted into the group.

The Cupola Engineering Ambassadors are the representatives of the College of Engineering. Their mission is to promote, unify, and serve the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. They help organize and promote events such as tours of the Engineering College, Engineering tailgates, and a pickleball tournament to benefit the Auburn Student Chapter of Engineers Without Borders.

The Cupola Callouts event is held every year to honor the new members being inducted into the club. Each new Ambassador’s name is called out to be recognized. After each new member has been introduced, the group takes their yearbook picture. Following the yearbook picture, the Ambassadors have a banquet for food, drink and festivities.

This year the event was held outside of Cater Hall. The following 41 students were recognized at the callout: Abigail Bingham, Addison Lee, Allison Brooks, Amanda Blakeney, Amari Springer, Amelia Hand, Andrew Beasley, Anna Carter, Anna Kate Boles, Annie Brothers, Blakeley Goodgame, Brady Hajec, Cameron Herzog, Carolina Triboni, Caroline Bryan, Carter Williams, Colin Moore, DJ Oakman, Emily Walker, Emma Tolbert, India Warren, Jack Condra, Jack O’Brien, Jacy Handra, Jessica Hasselback, Josh Kaiser, Josh Robinson, Josie Howell, Katelyn Mergulhao, Lilly Kate Doughman, Mary Mac Flanagan, Matthew Clegg, Megan Green, Meghan Murphy, Morgan Kelly, Owen Basso, Quinn Hunter-Gilbert, Robert Hanna, Tori McDermott, William Reynolds, and Winton Williams. These candidates were selected to become Ambassadors after a rigorous process including three rounds of deliberations and two rounds of interviews.

“It was an extremely competitive process, and Cupola is beyond excited to welcome the newest group of students who will be representing the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering,” said Cupola's President Anya McDaniel.
