Upcoming 15th annual Fashion Event held by AU College of Human Sciences

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - After bringing in 1,200 people at last year's show, the 15th annual Fashion Event will be returning to the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center to put on another stunning show. This event will take place on April 2, and it boasts the fantastic work of Auburn Consumer and Design Sciences students. They're not just learning about design principles. They're making their ideas come to life.

The event will feature a live runway show which will highlight competitively selected garments from general design submissions and capstone collections. There will also be other student work on display in the lobby such as mounted exhibitions, e-portfolios, visual merchandising vignettes, and more. The students developed their skills and polished their designs during a year-long elective course dedicated to putting together The Fashion Event. These students have put in countless hours in and out of the classroom to produce an amazing display of design creativity.

This year's design theme is "Full Circle," which references the recurrent and cyclical nature of design. Past designs serve as a foundation for the present, which will then shift and change over time to become the future of design. The works embody this theme to deliver a stunning show in an elegant and elevated ambiance.

The Fashion Event will be held at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center on Thursday, April 2. Doors open at 6 p.m., the auditorium opens at 6:30 p.m., and the runway show will begin at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to see the lobby displays prior to the runway show.
