Softball blows away Alabama State

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - No. 11 Auburn put on an offensive show, shutting out Alabama State 22-0 Wednesday night.  The win is the Tigers largest margin of victory since April 16, 2016, when they defeated Arkansas 23-0.

Auburn's offensive show included 15 hits and 11 walks. Justus Perry, Victoria Draper, and KK Crocker each had two hits to start the team's momentum. Eight of the nine starters finished the game with at least one hit.

The win marked Auburn's 18th shutout this season, the fifth most in program history.

Perry made a mark in program history by being the first player to hit two home runs in the same inning.

Auburn will now play host to another SEC match-up, welcoming No. 19 Kentucky to the plains for a three-game series starting Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
