Notasulga man arrested on Burglary, Theft, charges

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - On September 5, 2017, Auburn Police arrested Dejarius D. Hightower, 28, from Notasulga, Alabama on warrants charging him with; two counts of Burglary 3rd degree, Theft of Property 4th degree, Criminal Mischief 1st degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, and two counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd degree.

The arrest stems from an investigation into separate business burglaries on West Tech Lane and Teague Court on December 26th & 27th, 2016. In both cases, someone forced entry into the businesses while closed, vandalized and took merchandise from several of the vending machines, and stole a laptop computer.

Dejarius Hightower was developed as a suspect and linked to the crimes by physical evidence. Arrest warrants were executed on Hightower while he was already being held at the Lee County Jail on similar charges. He remains in custody on an additional $12,000.00 bond
