AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – University Program Council hosted Just Dance on September 2, where students danced to Justin Bieber, Kesha, Lady Gaga and more while simultaneously competing for prizes. The event began with decorative glow sticks and complimentary food from Foosackly’s to fuel the rest of the night.
Students filled the dance floor, encouraging each other energetically after every song. Amidst the lighthearted atmosphere, the rounds dwindled along with the number of prizes, keeping the students on their toes as they competed for a win.
Just Dance prize winner and senior Emily said, "I go to every UPC event because, coming to Auburn as a freshman, it was one of the ways I connected with friends.”
Her continued participation shows how these activities can serve as both entertainment and a social resource.
UPC members Anna Wheeler and Ashley Mills said that the event was chosen to bring people together through dance and encourage community bonding.
They emphasized the inclusivity and importance of First 56 events, saying, “This is an opportunity to meet new people and also get introduced to an organization that they might want to be a part of.”
Through events like this, involvement programs enrich Auburn students’ experiences by providing opportunities to connect and engage with a positive campus culture.
