Three Auburn Softball players arrested on marijuana charges

AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) - Three Auburn softball players have been arrested on charges of possession of marijuana 2nd degree and drug paraphernalia. Senior Hayley Fagan, sophomore Makayla Martin, and freshman Brittany Maresette were arrested early Thursday morning.  Fagan is the starting shortstop, Martin is one of the starting pitchers in the rotation, and Maresette comes off the bench in a pinch running. Eagle Eye has reached out to Auburn Athletics for a statement regarding the arrests.

Auburn Softball Second Baseman Emily Spain takes “Leave of Absence”

Before Wednesday’s game against Georgia State, something seemed a little out of place. During the non-starters introduction, Emily Spain was not mentioned. Yesterday, it was reported that Junior Emily Spain plans to take a leave of absence for unspecified reasons that are unrelated to the recent departure of assistant coach Corey Meyers. So far this season, Spain had appeared in 13 games and started in 6 with a .071 batting average with one hit at 14 at bats.

Day Six of Spring Practice

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) – Auburn had its sixth practice of spring ball Tuesday afternoon. Some new developments came after practice from head coach Gus Malzahn, receiver Ryan Davis, receiver Eli Stove and defensive lineman Marlon Davidson. The quarterback competition became narrower as two competitors are no longer in the running.

Opinion: Tuberville or Tubernator?

What do Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse “The Body” Ventura, and Tommy Tuberville have in common, besides a special place in my heart? They all ran for Governor, kind of. Tommy hasn't officially started yet but its close enough where I have decided it will happen for several reasons. First off he's a football coach... in Alabama... in the south... a FOOTBALL coach. Need I say more? He is also a republican... in Alabama... in the south... a REPUBLICAN coach. I think I like his chances.
