Tigers one win away from possible SEC title

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - All Auburn needed to do Wednesday was defeat Arkansas to have a share of the SEC regular-season title.  However, their 91-82 loss to the Razorbacks paired with a Tennessee win over Mississippi State, has Auburn tied for first in the SEC with the Tennessee Volunteers.  For Auburn to win at least a share of the regular season title they will have to win Saturday. The Tigers could also win the title with a Tennessee loss to Georgia. The Tigers last chance to claim their first SEC title since 1999 will be Saturday when No. 14 Auburn welcome South Carolina to the Auburn Arena.  Tip-off with the Gamecocks is set for 2:30 p.m.

Basketball struggle in road loss to Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (EETV) - Arkansas ruins a would-be championship night for No. 14 Auburn, defeating the Tigers 91-80 Wednesday in Fayetteville.  The Tigers lone lead of the night game in the first minutes of the first half, when Auburn held a 3-0 lead. Arkansas would tie the game on a 3-point-shot by Anton Beard and would never look back.

Thompson, Alexander earn SEC postseason basketball honors

Auburn, Ala (EETV) - Two Auburn Women were named to all-SEC Teams Tuesday. Freshman Unique Thompson was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and Sophomore Daisa Alexander was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team. Thompson was the top rebounder amongst freshman in the SEC pulling down an average of 8.7 rebounds per game.

Tigers barely hang on to Top-15

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - After going 1-1 for the third straight week, Auburn falls to No. 14 in this week's AP Poll. The Tigers were previously ranked No. 12 but fell to Florida Saturday 72-66. If Auburn would have defeated the Gators, the Tigers would have claimed a share of the SEC regular-season title.


Okeke, Harper step up to power Tigers over Tide

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - With Anfernee McLemore and Mustapha Heron out for the Tigers, freshman Chuma Okeke stepped up to power No. 12 Auburn over Alabama 90-71. Okeke would record his second double-double of the season, scoring 16 points and hauling in 10 rebounds for the Tigers.  "....." Auburn would get out to a lead early, going on an 8-0 run to start the game.

Women's Tennis Powers Past Michigan State

AUBURN, Ala (EETV)- No. 13 Auburn welcomed the Michigan State Spartans to the Yarborough Tennis Center Saturday. Auburn started strong earning the doubles point with wins from Maddie Meredith and Jaeda Daniel who won 6-2.  The other win came from Caroline Turner and Georgie Axon who won their match 7-6 (7-3) in a tiebreak. In the singles competition, Auburn would clinch the match with wins from Alizee Machaud, Maddie Meredith, and Georgie Axon. The Tigers improved to 8-3 on the year and will play again on Feb.

Auburn drops out of AP Top 10

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - After going 1-1, Auburn falls to No. 12 in this week's AP Poll. The Tigers were previously ranked No. 10 but fell to South Carolina Sunday 84-75. The Tigers got a huge win Wednesday,  Brown did not play at Georgia but did travel with the team.
