"I understand the school board position not wanting to fight a lawsuit, but as a business, it is my right to advertise how I like," said Green. The new scoreboard will not be constructed until another advertisement is sold.

First Transit responds to driver allegations of inadequate hiring procedures.

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - First Transit is now responding to allegations that drivers were not properly screened during the hiring process. Following the arrest of two Tiger Ten Transit Drivers for rape and sodomy, many people on social media began questioning the pre-employment screenings of the drivers.  Facebook users began to point to a public profile with the name Tony Patillo (same name and picture as the Tony Patillo that was arrested) discussing what it takes to be a transit driver. The post said, "Attention everyone in the Opelika., Auburn and surrounding area!!!Drivers needed ., qualifications::: no license.,no background check.,,the only qualifications needed is showing up for work...If interested call 1800(come to work)..." First Transit has responded to these allegations and assert that transit drivers are subject to pre-employment background screenings and random drug tests throughout their employment. Senior Director of Corporate Communications for First Transit, Chris Kemper says both drivers have been removed from service and that the termination process has begun. The following statement from First Transit is below: At First Transit, we are greatly troubled by the events of  Friday  night.
