Good News for Alabama Hospitals

MONTGOMERY, Ala (EETV) - Alabama’s hospitals performed better than the national performance level last year in four important infection-related categories according to the latest report by the Alabama Department of Public Health. The 2016 report on healthcare-associated infections reveals state and hospital-specific infection rates on catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs), central line-associated blood stream infections (CLABSIs) and two surgical site infection measures (abdominal hysterectomies and colon surgeries).

Auburn to Host Veterans Day Ceremony

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The City of Auburn will be hosting their 2017 Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Auburn Veterans Memorial. Beginning at 10 a.m., officials will gather in concert with communities throughout the nation to honor those who have served our country.

Water main break disrupts service to Haley Center

Governor Awards Grants to Aid Abuse Victims

On Monday Night the SGA approved two bills by unanimous decision. The bills were in regards to the holiday ceremony lighting and spring election dates. The holiday lighting ceremony bill that was approved gives $2,000 towards the ceremony.

50 New Jobs Coming to Auburn

AUBURN, Ala (EETV) – Governor Kay Ivey on Monday announced that Milwaukee-based Briggs & Stratton Corp. plans to begin production of Vanguard big block V-twin engines at its Auburn location in 2018, ultimately creating approximately 50 new jobs for the area. The project involves a $12 million investment from the company.

Auburn Man Charged with 1st Degree Rape

Camp, age 18, from Auburn on a felony warrant charging him with Rape 1st Degree The arrest stems from an investigation into a reported sexual assault that occurred at a residence on Longleaf Drive on October 8, 2017.
