Gov. Kay Ivey announces new solar power plant, providing more jobs

Kay Ivey announced on Wednesday, June 27, that LG Electronics has made plans to invest $28 million in pursuit of creating a world-class solar module assembly plant in Huntsville, Alabama, which will create 160 new jobs. LG, a leading provider of residential solar panels in the U.S., has plans to create a new factory, consisting of two production lines, which will be at a pre-existing building on their company's 48-acre Huntsville campus.
