In addition to the lifting of its mask mandate, the University has announced that a Healthcheck 'Green Screen' passport is no longer necessary in most situations.

The new central dining hall will be located next to Parker Hall and the Campus Green, operating seven days a week. AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn Police reported a shooting Thursday morning on Old Wrights Mill road that left one man with serious injuries. The Auburn man was transported to East Alabama Medical Center for treatment.Brandon Richard Morgan, 35, from Auburn, has been charged with one count of Assault in the 1st Degree for the shooting. The Auburn Police have determined that the individuals involved are acquaintances and this is not a random occurrence.

Eagle Hall will be renamed in honor of Matthews, and Tiger Hall will be renamed in honor of Holloway.
AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The Grubhub app experienced a national outage February 3 at around 10:30 in the morning, causing Auburn University’s Tiger Dining system to fault. Grubhub is the university’s primary ordering system for on-campus eateries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mobile ordering has since become operational, but the university has said to expect slow periods and difficulties throughout the day as systems come back to full functionality.
AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – The new, more contagious variant of SARS-CoV-2 has been found in three separate COVID-19 cases in the state of Alabama. The variant, named B.1.1.7, was discovered twice in Montgomery County and once in Jefferson County this week and are the first reported cases of B.1.1.7. in Alabama. Two of the three cases were discovered in children under the age of 19 while the third was an adult.

Auburn, AL (EETV) - Retired four-star Army general and former Auburn University student, Lloyd Austin, was appointed January 22 as the 28th Secretary of Defense. Austin became the first African American to hold the position. The nomination of the retired Army general required a waiver to be passed by both the House and Senate, as Austin was only four years removed from his military duties as opposed to the legally mandated seven. However, both the House and Senate passed Austin's waiver and Austin was confirmed by the Senate with a vote of 93-2.
Auburn, AL (EETV) - Former Kansas State University senior vice president for development, John Morris, joins the Auburn family to lead more than 200 individuals in Auburn's combined Offices of Alumni Affairs, Development, and Communications and Marketing. These merged offices were created to develop an efficient, organized team that is focused on promoting a "shared, strategically focused vision of Auburn," according to President Jay Gogue.

Auburn, Ala (EETV) -- 88-year-old trailblazer, Harold Franklin, received a copy of the Auburn Creed as he walked across the stage at Auburn University’s fall commencement ceremony last Sunday morning. Franklin does this 56 years after his integration of Auburn as the university’s first African American student. Auburn University honored Harold Franklin as its first African American student back in 2001 with an honorary doctorate of arts and then by erecting a historic marker by the Ralph Brown Draughon Library in 2015. The 1962 Alabama State College honors graduate that went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force defended his thesis in February but was unable to partake in the spring commencement ceremonies that were postponed due to COVID-19.
