“The Children” takes the stage this weekend

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Students in The Department of Theatre and Dance at Auburn University are set to perform a staged reading of “The Children,” a Tony Award-nominated play written by Lucy Kirkwood and directed by Scott Phillips.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Students in The Department of Theatre and Dance at Auburn University are set to perform a staged reading of “The Children,” a Tony Award-nominated play written by Lucy Kirkwood and directed by Scott Phillips.

Two retired nuclear scientists ponder their future as the world outside begins to unravel around them. As they make a little progress, an old colleague arrives with a request that dramatically forces them to set aside their routine and reckon with the past.

Enjoy this student-run production set inside an isolated cottage by the sea on the East Coast of England.

Students in the Theatre and Dance Department will present this reading, followed by a post-live discussion, in the Telfair B. Peet Main Stage Theatre on Thursday, March 28 through Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 pm. This production is free and open to the public. Seating can be reserved at this ticketing site.
