Tigers add four-star Running Back to 2023 Recruiting Class on National Signing Day

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – As was expected, Auburn had a somewhat slow National Signing Day. The first signing day of the Hugh Freeze era garnered only one commitment for the 2023 class in the form of running back Jeremiah Cobb.

The Montgomery native had been committed to the Tigers since July but finally made things official with Auburn on Wednesday.

Cobb joins 18 other high-school signees in Auburn’s 2023 signing class. As a four-star recruit, Cobb comes in as the third highest-rated player of Auburn’s class.

Freeze and company did add two future commits on National Signing Day.

The first is four-star cornerback Jayden Lewis. Lewis is currently a junior at Anniston High in Anniston, Alabama. He joins fellow four-star corner A'Mon Lane as the first two commitments for the 2024 class.

The second commitment is from four-star defensive lineman, Malik Autry. Autry is a hometown kid playing his high school ball at Opelika High. The 6’6, 280lb lineman picked Auburn over other SEC programs like Georgia and Kentucky. He is the first commitment for Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class.

Auburn’s 2023 class currently comes in at seventeenth nationally with the fourth-best transfer class.
