AUBURN, Ala (EETV)- According to 247Sports, Auburn senior linebacker, K.J. Britt, will undergo surgery Friday, Oct. 10 to repair torn ligaments in his thumb.
The All-SEC linebacker's injury occurred in Auburn's 27-6 loss to Georgia this past Saturday. 247Sports also spoke with Britt's mother, Tonia Britt.
"I feel bad for him, this being his senior year. Long-term, I think he will be fine. It could have been a lot worse."
As of now, Britt's status for his return late in the season is uncertain.
