Auburn's Cam Newton Statue vandalized Tuesday morning

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University's statue of former football player Cam Newton was vandalized early Tuesday morning.  Two University of Alabama flags were found attached to the hands of the statue. Eagle Eye TV has reached out to Auburn's Campus Safety and Security Office for additional information.

Auburn Cadets compete in Army Ten-Miler

WASHINGTON, DC. (EETV)- A group of 8 cadets from Auburn University's Army ROTC program traveled to Washington, DC to compete in the national Army Ten-Miler race on October 7.  The Army Ten-Miler is an annual event that started in 1985 and attracts over 400,000 civilian and military runners every year.

Campus Safety monitoring conditions ahead of Hurricane Michael's expected arrival

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University is monitoring weather conditions ahead of Hurricane Michael's expected landfall. In an email to students officials wrote: "We currently do not anticipate any changes to class schedules or normal university operations as a result of Michael, but that could change as the forecast evolves and the storm moves closer." Campus Safety officials also tweeted tips for students traveling during the Thursday and Friday fall break.

Which Wich owners give tips for game day

Auburn, Ala – The Sandwich shop Which Wich is opening a new store on Magnolia Avenue in the next couple of weeks and has a couple of game day sandwich tips for Auburn fans. One of their signature sandwiches “The Wicked” is what they claim to be the best for tailgating, filled with three different types of both meats and cheeses.

Beat Bama Food Drive to run until Nov. 15

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey kicked off the annual Beat Bama Food Drive Monday with a ceremony at the State Capitol Building. The project, which is in conjunction with the University of Alabama's Beat Auburn Beat Hunger, works to raise money and cans for food banks in the state. Cans and dollars raised by Auburn University students goes to the Food Bank of East Alabama and those raised by University of Alabama students goes to the West Alabama Food Bank.  Those interested in donating can drop food in the barrels located across campus or can donate funds by visiting www.alabamafoodfight.org.

Arrest made in connection to individual being found unconscious on campus street

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police arrested Alexander C. Hernandez, age 23, from Fort Benning, Georgia Monday on a felony warrant charging him with Rape First Degree. Police say that a victim was found May 12 unconscious on Engineering Drive, which its located on the campus of Auburn University. The victim was eventually transported to the East Alabama Medical Center due to the victim's level of intoxication. Further investigation by authorities, including a DNA examination by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, determined that Hernandez, an acquaintance of the victim, sexually assaulted her.  Detectives charged Hernandez with Rape First Degree.

Auburn SGA to host town hall on campus dining

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University's Student Government Association will be hosting a town hall on campus dining Tuesday at 6:00 pm in Student Center Room 2222. The event will feature speakers from Auburn Student Affairs, Tiger Dining and dining contractor Aramark.  Students will be able to ask questions and hear more about recent changes to the dining scene on campus. Free food will be provided at the event.

Sadie Argo wins 2018 Miss Homecoming

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University senior Sadie Argo was named Miss Homecoming at Saturday's football game. Argo was presented with the traditional flower bouquet and silver bowl by Auburn President Steven Leath and Alabama Gov.

Campaign violations submitted against three Miss Homecoming campaigns

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Multiple campaign violations were turned into the Auburn University Student Government Association Elections Board in connection to three Miss Homecoming candidates. Violations were turned in agains Sadie Argo, Maddy Hickman and Tracy Moore's campaigns. Four violations were turned in against Sadie Argo's campaign: one accusing members of the campaign of campaigning for votes off campus, one accusing the campaign of offering incentives for voting, one in connection to a non-Auburn student sending out an endorsement email and one accusing a campaign volunteer of giving out a cell phone to a student to vote. Argo's campaign was found to not be in violation of all charges except for the one associated with the non Auburn student endorsement email for which she lost 53 votes. One violation was submitted against the campaign of Tracy Moore accusing the campaign of sending out a voting email/campaigning in a GroupMe before 7:00 am on voting day.

UPC to host Jon Pardi and Chris Lane

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn's University Program Council will be hosting country singers Jon Pardi and Chris Lane Thursday night. The concert, part of Auburn's homecoming festivities, will start at 7:30 pm and run until 10:00 pm. All Auburn University students are admitted free and non students can purchase tickets online prior to the event.

Auburn Chamber of Commerce hosts business fair in Student Center

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The Auburn Chamber of Commerce hosted a business fair Wednesday in the Auburn University Student Center. Multiple businesses from around the Auburn area showcased products and services to Auburn students. Chamber officials say that the fair is a good way to connect students to the surrounding community.  Students who visited all the booths had the opportunity to compete for several prizes.
