AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Two additional candidates have qualified in the race to become Auburn's next mayor.
Brittany Cannon Dement and Richard E. Speake both qualified in the race.
Cannon Dement formerly worked in the Legislative Fiscal Office at the Alabama State House and holds two degrees from Auburn University. She has not previously held elected office before.
According to Cannon Dement's campaign website, she wants "to ensure Auburn grows forward."
Eagle Eye TV could not locate information about candidate Richard E. Speake's background or platform.
Speake and Cannon Dement will face off against Auburn Ward 2 Councilman Ron Anders in the August 28 election, current Auburn Mayor Bill Ham will not seek reelection.
