Campaign violations submitted against three Miss Homecoming campaigns

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Multiple campaign violations were turned into the Auburn University Student Government Association Elections Board in connection to three Miss Homecoming candidates. Violations were turned in agains Sadie Argo, Maddy Hickman and Tracy Moore's campaigns. Four violations were turned in against Sadie Argo's campaign: one accusing members of the campaign of campaigning for votes off campus, one accusing the campaign of offering incentives for voting, one in connection to a non-Auburn student sending out an endorsement email and one accusing a campaign volunteer of giving out a cell phone to a student to vote. Argo's campaign was found to not be in violation of all charges except for the one associated with the non Auburn student endorsement email for which she lost 53 votes. One violation was submitted against the campaign of Tracy Moore accusing the campaign of sending out a voting email/campaigning in a GroupMe before 7:00 am on voting day.

Congressman Mike Rogers responds to Kavanaugh accusations

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers responded to the accusations levied against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh saying that he is suspect of the timing. The accusations by Christine Blasey Ford, allege that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when he was 17.

College Republicans to host Rep. Mike Rogers

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University's College Republicans are hosting Rep. Mike Rogers Tuesday night in Dudley Hall B6 auditorium. Rogers represents the third congressional district which stretches from east Montgomery County all the way towards Cherokee County in the northern portion of the state. "He's really just going to come and speak to students and take questions from students as well," said College Republicans Chairman Seth Ingram to Eagle Eye TV. Ingram added that Rogers is expected to discuss the Space Force project and recent tax reform legislation.  Rogers, who has served since 2003, faces former Miss America Mallory Hagan in the November midterm election.

Governor Ivey Names Kelly Butler Interim Director of Finance

MONTGOMERY, Ala (EETV)- Governor Kay Ivey announced Kelly Butler as Acting Director of the Alabama Department of Finance. Butler has a career that spans more than 30 years beginning with the Alabama Department of Revenue and later with the Department of Finance as an Assistant State Budget Officer. “Kelly Butler has more than two decades of experience working with the state’s budgets and more than three decades experience as a fiscal analyst.

Ainsworth, Pate and Marshall declare victory in runoff election

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Party nominees were finally decided upon following Alabama's primary runoff election Tuesday night. Will Ainsworth, Steve Marshall and Rick Pate won highly contested primaries in the race to become the GOP nominee for lieutenant governor, attorney general and agriculture and industries commissioner.  Ainsworth declared his victory by writing, "This is your victory as much as ours!
