Opelika, Ala. (EETV) - At approximately 5:30 PM Wednesday afternoon, Opelika Police received a 911 call of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Northpark Drive and Andrews Road on the east side of Opelika. Upon arrival, by Opelika Police, Opelika Fire and Rescue, and EAMC EMS, they located 31-year-old April Billingsley, of Lanett, entrapped in her vehicle with no signs of life.

At about 11:00 p.m. Auburn Police responded to a burglary in progress call at a residence in the 500 block of Shelton Mill Road. Officers observed individuals carrying a television from the rear of an apartment at which point they fled. Two suspects were apprehended in a nearby wooded area with the assistance of a police K9 team and the third suspect was apprehended as he attempted to flee the area in a vehicle.
