AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - You may have noticed that Aubie undergoes several costume changes throughout Auburn University home football games each Saturday. Although it seems that everything Aubie does is spontaneous and almost magical, these costumes and props do not happen as easily as Aubie makes us smile.

The Aubie Committee is a group of dedicated Auburn students who love Aubie and are passionate about making his gameday persona come to life. With weekly meetings, held on home gameday weeks, these creative students spent hours cultivating the instruments Aubie will use throughout his entertainment routine.

When Aubie's committee meets, the creative ideas are flowing. Students spend the time they have chosen to dedicate to brainstorm, plan, and act upon their ideas.

“I think it is such an awesome opportunity to get plugged in at Auburn,” Aubie committee member Mary Grace Hicks said. “If you're into crafts and painting, there's stuff for you. If you're more of a critical thinker and want to brainstorm, we're always trying to come up with new ideas.”

The Aubie committee meets every Tuesday before a home game at 7 p.m. in the Melton Student Center Loading Dock, located on the first floor. Director of Aubie and Outreach Jennifer Jordan encourages and appreciates all students coming out to join in on making the magic happen.
