AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – On Thursday the league office released the 2021-22 Auburn men’s basketball Southeastern Conference schedule which includes dates and opponents.
During the 18-game schedule every SEC team will play the other 13 teams at least once. They play their three permanent opponents a second time with the two games changing each year.
Auburn’s three permanent opponents are Alabama, Georgia and Ole miss. The Tigers are also planned to play Florida and South Carolina twice during the league games.
The start of Auburn season is on Dec. 29 against LSU inside the Auburn Arena.
After the new year the Tigers travel to face South Carolina Jan. 4 and return home to face Florida on Jan. 8. The Tigers will travel again to face Alabama (Jan. 11) and at Ole miss (Jan. 15), then will return home to play Georgia (Jan. 19) and Kentucky (Jan. 22).
On Jan. 25 the Tigers travel to Missouri and then come home to host Oklahoma for the first time in Big 12/SEC Challenge history on Jan. 29.
In February Auburn faces Alabama on Feb.1 followed by on the road games at Georgia (Feb. 5) and at Arkansas (Feb. 8). The Tigers will come home to play Texas A&M (Feb. 12) and Vanderbilt (Feb. 16).
Auburn will wrap up February with Florida on Feb. 19, Ole miss on Feb. 23 and Tennessee on Feb. 26.
Auburn hits the road one last time on March 2 at Mississippi state and then wraps up the last regular season home game on March 5 against South Carolina.
In Tampa Bay, Fla. for the first time since 2009 the SEC Tournament will be played form March 9-13.
