Haddock Recieves Postseason Praise, Named to Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) Postseason praise continues to roll in for Karen Hoppa’s Auburn Tigers. Just one day after junior defender M.E. Craven’s naming to the all-SEC community team for her efforts off the field on Tuesday, freshman midfielder Anna Haddock heard her name called in the announcement of Top Drawer Soccer’s Freshman Best XI second team.

The news comes following Haddock’s standout performance throughout the Tigers’ 2020-21 campaign in which the Bowling Green, Ky. native tallied an SEC and power-five best 10 assists. The midfielder led all freshmen nationally in the category and tied the program best four assists in one game in Auburn’s 5-0 triumph over Kennesaw state.

Haddock’s performance was capped off by a pair of goals, sufficient to tie her for the most points on the squad with 14.

Recognition by Top Drawer Soccer surprises few following the midfielder’s naming to the SEC all-freshman team in the fall and United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Southeast Region earlier in the month.
