Thor Declares For NBA Draft, Leaves Door Open For Return to Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) Following the announcement of Jamal Johnson and Javon Franklin's decisions to enter the transfer portal, Bruce Pearl's squad received news that yet another piece to its roster is contemplating a departure from the program on Tuesday afternoon. Freshman forward JT Thor has decided to test the market of the 2021 NBA Draft.

In an announcement made via twitter, Thor informed the Auburn fanbase that he would be entering the draft; however has not ruled out a second season with the Tigers.

Thor's decision comes following a freshman campaign in which the forward averaged 9.4 points, 0.9 assists, 5 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game.

Although Thor is not projected to go in the first round in any major mock drafts, his upside and production as a freshman likely presents him with the opportunity to be selected in the late goings of the draft.
