Auburn Men's Golf Looking To Build Off Fall Success At Gator Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The no. 8 Auburn Men’s Golf team is set to kick off its spring season on February 12 at the Gator Invitational. The event, hosted by the Florida Gators, is being held at the 6,701-yard, par 70, Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainsville, Fla.

The Tigers will try to ride their momentum after ending the fall season with a first-place finish at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, beating No. 5 Georgia and No. 3 Vanderbilt in a playoff to clinch the team title. In addition to the title, senior Graysen Huff finished 6th place individually with a weekend score of 203.

This will be the first time Auburn plays against non-SEC competition in the 2020-21 season. The 24-team field includes eight other ranked teams, all in the SEC.

Auburn’s six golfer lineup will include seniors Graysen Huff, Andrew Kozan, Wells Padgett and Jovan Rebula, sophomore Alex Vogelsong and freshman J.M. Butler.

Auburn will tee off the opening round at 11:20 a.m. CT, on Friday, February 12. They will be paired with Liberty and No. 18 South Carolina. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
