Senior Vice President of Student Affairs Provides Updates on COVID-19 Protocol for the Spring Semester

Auburn, AL (EETV)- Dr. Bobby Woodard, Senior Vice President of Student Affairs, sent a letter to the student body on Tuesday, providing an update on the protocols for the spring semester regarding COVID-19.

The university plans to reopen buildings and offices on January 4th. Student housing and campus dining options will begin on January 8th.

Auburn's sentinel testing will return on January 11th which is the first day of classes for students.

Current event guidelines will continue until February 1st. This means that there cannot be more than 50 or more people at an event on campus unless approved by the university.

Face coverings will be required indoors and outdoors until February 1st. Woodard says that this was done "in alignment with the latest information from the medical community. Faculty will communicate any changes to students via email or Canvas as soon as possible."

Faculty offering face-to-face classes may choose to begin the semester remotely for up to two weeks.

Auburn continues to monitor the impact of COVID-19 locally and around the state as the spring semester approaches. Should any additional operational changes be made, students will be notified via email.
