Tigers Shoot Low in Round Two of Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Five members of the Auburn men’s golf team shot even par or better in the second round at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. The Tigers were the only team to have five rounds of even par or better.

After the opening 36 holes, Auburn is in third with 15-under (273-272--545), just behind the leader Vanderbilt (542) by three strokes going into Tuesday’s final round. The five Tigers are in the top-35 on the individual leaderboard as well as within the top 20.

Graysen Huff is tied for sixth at 6-under (65-69--134) and is leading the way for Auburn. The senior had three birdies and tied for a team-high of 13 pars.

Jovan Rebula is tied for 12th with 4-under (69-67--136). The senior had a team-best of six birdies with five being from the front nine in the second round.

Alex Vogelsong is tied for 15th at 3-under (70-67--137) after 36 holes. On Monda, he scored a bogey on the second hole but made up for that and was perfect for the remainder of the round. He totaled four birdies and 12 pars in the final 16 holes.

Wells Padgett is tied for 20th at 1-under (69-70--139). In his opening six holes, he had a ton of birdies to guide him towards his even-par in the second round.

J.M. Butler is tied for 34th at 1-over (72-69--141). The freshman had four birdies to finish off his second tour of the course.

In the final round of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate Auburn is with Georgia and Vanderbilt. The final round begins Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. CT off the No. 1 tee. Go to Golfstat.com for live scoring.
