Men's Tennis to Begin Season with Tiger Fall Invite

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The Auburn men’s tennis team will begin their season this Friday through Sunday at the Yarborough Tennis Center in Auburn, Ala. 

The invitational will include Vanderbilt, Alabama, Florida and Ole Miss. 

Up to 10 singles matches will be played each day, followed by up to five double matches. 

Auburn will face Florida on Friday at 9 a.m. CT. The competition will continue with Vanderbilt, Alabama and Ole Miss at 2 p.m. CT. 

Saturday will begin with Auburn facing Vanderbilt and Ole Miss at 9 a.m. and will finish with Alabama versus Florida at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, Florida, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss will play at 9 a.m. Auburn and Alabama will close out the weekend with matches at 2 p.m.

Auburn coach Bobby Reynolds said, “We’re very excited to compete this weekend, to get back to action and be able to host this event at home. Our guys are ready to go. They’ve been dedicated in training through some trying circumstances all the way back through March, and I know they’ve had this first match date circled in the calendar.

"This will be a great chance for our veterans to get back into the swing of things and to showcase our newcomers as well as against SEC competition. Fans will be able to see some high-level tennis this weekend and also take a look at the direction our program is going.”

All Auburn home tennis matches are located at the Yarborough Tennis Center and include free admission. Fans are allowed at matches outdoors but must wear a face covering. 

Spectators will need to remain socially distanced and follow the 180-spectator limit. Chairs are encouraged as the bleachers will not be available. Restrooms are available in the Yarborough Tennis Center.
