AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn Police have confirmed that one person has died in a fatal car accident at the intersection of Shug Jordan Parkway and West Samford Avenue. That person's identity has not been confirmed. Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said in a statement late Saturday night that a female victim had passed away due to injuries.

Auburn Athletics released a statement late Saturday night confirming that Rod Bramblett, the "Voice of the Auburn Tigers," and his wife, Paula, were involved in the wreck.

A 16-year-old male driver in a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck the rear of the Bramblett's 2017 Toyota Highlander. The Bramblett's were transported to East Alabama Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee was also transported to EAMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Harris also confirms that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division.
