Auburn Holds off Murray State 93-88

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- After losing on the road at NC State, the Auburn Tigers looked to rebound against the Murray State Racers.

In the first half Auburn started out on an 8-0 run to start the game as Austin Wiley dropped 10 points. Bryce Brown seemed to be back in form as he scored 8 points including his first three point basket in two games.

Murray State started the first half fast, knocking down three straight three-point shots to take a six point lead. The lead wouldn't last for long as Auburn took a 14 point lead with 8 minutes remaining.

Murray State did not go away as they cut the lead to just three in the last 40 seconds. Auburn was able to hold on for the win as Jared Harper knocked down a pair of clutch free throws.

The play of Murray State's guard Ja Morant should not go unnoticed as he dropped 25 points in the game. Shaq Buchanan also scored 21 points for the Racers, going 8-14 from three.

Auburn's Samir Doughty had a career high 20 points to lead the Tigers and Austin Wiley and Chuma Okeke both added 17 points.
