Auburn Football To Face Purdue in the Music City Bowl

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- The reveal of the college football bowl season pitted the Auburn Tigers against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl. 

Purdue comes into the game with a 6-6 record, but they have have an impressive 49-20 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Boilermakers are ninth in total offense this season are led by quaterback David Blough, who threw for over 3,000 yards this season. 

Head Coach Jeff Brohm has led all of hid teams to a bowl game dating back to 2014 when he coached Central Michigan. This will be the 19th bowl appearance for Purdue and their first in the Music City Bowl.

The Tigers, who come in with a 7-5 record will look to finish the season on a high note as Jarret Stidham will presumedly play his last game in an Auburn uniform. Stidham was in the top 10 in the SEC for passing yards this season.

Gus Malzhan has led Auburn to a bowl game every year that he has been head coach. This will be Auburn's 42nd bowl appearance and their second trip to the Music City bowl with the first coming in 2003 when Auburn defeated Wisconsin 28-14.

The game is set for December 28th with kickoff to be at 12:30 ET and will be televised on ESPN.
