Auburn Police arrest man on domestic violence and theft charges

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- On April 17, 2018, Auburn Police arrested Favion Sanchez Morse, age 26, from Auburn on warrants charging him with Domestic Violence Second Degree (Burglary) and Theft of Property Fourth Degree.

On Saturday, April 14th, at about 3:40 a.m., Auburn Police responded to an apartment complex on Shug Jordan Parkway in reference to a possible burglary call. Officers arrived and determined that Morse, an acquaintance of the 23 year old female occupant, had unlawfully entered her residence through a bedroom window, stole her wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. The wallet was later recovered by police.

An investigation into the incident resulted in Morse being positively identified as the suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest. Morse was contacted by an Auburn Police Officer during a traffic stop and taken into custody. He was transported to the Lee County Jail where he is currently being held on a $16,000 bond.
