Florida snaps Auburn women's tennis' win streak

AUBURN, Ala (EETV) -  No.15 Auburn's win streak would come to a close at 5, losing to No. 15 Florida on Saturday. The Tigers were without Alize Machaud and freshman Maddie Meredith who were both injured coming into the match.

In doubles, Auburn's Jaeda Daniel and Andie Dikosaljevic gave Auburn the lead as they won 6-3 over Florida's Peggy Porter and Katie Kubicz.

The Gators would respond as Anna Danilina and Victoria Emma would defeat Caroline Turner and Georgie Axon 6-2.

Florida would earn the doubles point as Josie Kuhlman and McCartney Kessler won 7-6 over Auburn's Alannah Griffin and Taylor Russo.

In singles, Russo kept Auburn alive as she quickly defeated Florida's Victoria Emma 6-3 6-3.

The comeback would be short-lived as Florida would clinch the match with wins from Danilina,  Kubicz, and Kessler.

With the loss, Auburn moves their record to 4-3 in SEC play. Auburn's next match will be on the road against Tennessee on Thursday.
