Tigers stay perfect at home

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - No. 11 Auburn edges Vanderbilt 93-81 in a game of runs to get their 12th straight home victory.

Vanderbilt was a nuisance throughout the game for the Tigers despite being at the bottom of the SEC. The Commodores made several runs to keep them within distance of a win and ket Auburn on their toes.

"You can see why they took Kentucky to the end and could've, would've, should've won," Auburn Head Coach Bruce Pearl said. "Why they came back on Tennessee after being down 20."

Jeff Roberson would get 30 points on the Tigers for the Commodores.

The Tigers would prove to be too much for Vandy and showed their strength on defense and shooting. Auburn was 17-26 for three-point shooting with Bryce Brown leading the way.

Brown scored 25 total points and was closely followed by Mustapha Heron with 23 points.

"It's not two or three guys, its the team," Coach Pearl noted when discussing the 'hot hand' the Tigers needed to have more balance.

Jared Harper had 14 assists on the night to help bolster the Auburn to a win.

"He was fun to watch and had great command over his team," Pearl said of Harper.

The Tigers take on the Texas A&M Aggies Wednesday in the Auburn Arena at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
