Soccer prepares for Iron Bowl Tuesday

Tuscaloosa, Ala. (EETV) – Auburn will travel to Tuscaloosa Tuesday for the Iron Bowl of soccer. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.

Auburn has won 13 of the last 16 matchups against the Tide since 2000. They also hold a 15-7-2 advantage over Alabama in the all-time series.

Auburn’s defense is currently tied in the league for second in goals allowed, third in goals-against average and third in shutouts during SEC play. The Tiger’s defense has only allowed one goal in their first four SEC games.

The Auburn Alabama rivalry is not just reserved for football. Taking home the soccer Iron Bowl Trophy is the honor bestowed upon the winner of Tuesday’s game.

Auburn has had possession of the trophy since 2012 and they plan to bring it home again.
