Former Track & Field coach sues university for discrimination

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Former Auburn assistant Track and Field coach Adrian Ghioroaie is suing the Board of Trustees for discrimination.

Ghioroaie claims in the lawsuit due to an altercation with assistant Track and Field coach Henry Rolle in which Rolle "physically assaulted" him during a 2015 staff meeting, his contract was not renewed.

The lawsuit filed claims during said staff meeting, "Rolle put his hands around Ghioroaie's neck and began to squeeze with such force that coach Ghioroaie had red marks on his neck for two days"

AL.com was the first to report the lawsuit.

According to AL.com, the charges are based on race, national origin, and color.

Ghioroalie is of Romanian descent.
