Severe weather heading to Auburn

UPDATE 6:30 p.m.: There are currently no watches and warnings listed for Central / East Alabama. The National Weather Service still has Auburn under a slight risk for severe weather thru 11:00 tonight. Slight risk could include Brief tornados and winds up to 60 miles per hour.


UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: The rain and thunderstorms have effectively ended the threat for much of the western sections of Central Alabama. The east and specifically the southeast will continue to see a slight risk for isolated damaging winds and perhaps a brief spin-up tornado throughout the evening. The northern half of the line, or generally north of I-20 will continue to accelerate into the Gerogia, ending the threat.


AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) - Severe weather is expected in the Auburn area beginning this evening and continuing through the night. Central Alabama just north of Auburn is under a Tornado Watch until 7:00p.m.
